The Washington Charter School Governance Council is comprised of 7 voting members. The Governance Council composition includes 3 staff members of Washington Charter School (WCS), three parents who have children at Washington Charter and a community member that is selected by the board. Each Council member serves a 2 year term. Meetings are scheduled monthly (except for July). Governance Council meetings are open to the public. Council meeting agendas are posted in the rear window of the administrative building and online. Once minutes are Council approved they are posted on the school website. The Governance Council is the policy setting arm of the school. Day to day decisions rest with staff and administration.
